A: Venetian or Marmorino plaster is a fine lime putty, mixed with marble dust, pigments and other natural ingredients. Venetian or Marmorino plaster is also known as in the UK as Polished plaster.
Q: What Substrates are suitable for polished plaster applications?
A: Polished plaster is suitable for many substrates, all substrates should be installed to the manufacturers specifications and be;
A true, flat and even surface
Free from dust and debris
Free from movement
Fully cured, free from damp
We cannot be liable for any defections in the substrate that may lead to cracks on the surface.
Acceptable substrates include:
Dry-lining taped and sanded ready for paint/decorative finishes.
Skimmed surfaces ready for paint/decorative finish.
Painted walls in good condition.
Plywood
MDF
Certain substrates will need special preparation and a thin mesh applied to help strengthen any weak points.
Q: Where can polished plaster be applied?
A: Polished plaster can be applied and is suitable for most residential and commercial settings, walls and ceilings as well as curved walls and columns.
Tadelakt can be used in areas exposed to high moisture levels;
Steam rooms

Bathrooms
Q: How best to clean Polished Plaster?
A: Polished plaster wall finishes are sealed with wax, therefore any dirt should left to dry on the surface and then removed with a dry lint free cloth.
Should a Venetian plaster marmorino be somehow spoilt by staining it may possible to use a special paste which wraps around the particles of dirt and can then be cleaned off.

Q: What is Tadelakt plaster?
A: Tadelakt is a waterproof lime plaster sealed with olive oil soap and polished with a stone. Soft to the touch and warm to the eye, it can seamlessly cover walls, sinks, showers, and even bathtubs. One of few natural materials appropriate for wet areas, tadelakt is easy to clean and highly resistant to mildew.
Originally from Marrakech, tadelakt has stood the tests of time in traditional North African hammams and royal palaces. As it has been passed down from master to apprentice for centuries, tadelakt has become one of the most beautiful hand crafted natural finishes on earth.
Q: Is Tadelakt waterproof?
A: Yes Tadelakt is Waterproof. Tadelakt is used extensively throughout Morocco, originally designed for their water vessels as a sealer it has since been adapted as a waterproof coating for steam rooms and bathrooms. In every bathroom in Morocco you will find tadelakt. The Tadelakt we use is direct from Marakech, all that has changed is the style of bathrooms in keeping with western lines of design.

A: The answer in short is anywhere! Not being limited to the wet areas that tadelakt is traditionally used for, the coating works just about anywhere you desire a highlight or practical feature, including but not limited to:
